This month, I am beginning my journey with Anthropology officially! I will be researching different global epidemics through an anthropological lens. This lens consists of studying how these diseases affected the culture in the United States. I understand that from smallpox to Covid-19, epidemics have shaped public health policy, driven advances in the medical world, drove cultural fear, and harmed marginalized communities. I look forward to updating you all on how this goes!!!
